North Central Indiana Spay and Neuter at Crystal Creek Kennels
0 ncisnNorth Central Indiana Spay and Neuter is a non-profit no-kill shelter located at Crystal Creek Kennels in Battle Ground, Indiana. NCISN believes that euthanasia is a crime–a crime against our loving companions. Through pro-active rescue, adoption efforts, and an affordable spay and neuter program, we work to eliminate the use of euthanasia as a method of pet population control. NCISN endeavors to reduce the suffering, abandonment, and neglect of companion animals in our community and reach our goal of no more homeless pets.

Tri-County Trap-Neuter-Return
cattwinsaTNR helps to control the feral and stray cat overpopulation through a progressive community program of Trap-Neuter-Return, which is the only proven method that permanently and humanely reduces feral and stray cat populations. Feral cats are humanely live trapped, altered, vaccinated for rabies, and left ear tipped, which identifies the cat as part of a managed feral cat colony. The cats are returned to their caretakers who monitor the colony and provide food, water, and shelter. TNR serves Tippecanoe County and surrounding areas.

Robyn’s Cats
polcatoconnoraRobyn’s Cats works with Tri-County Trap-Neuter-Return to find forever homes for domestic and feral cats. Occasionally there are friendly domesticated cats living with a feral colony. Also, kittens from feral cats, if removed at an early age (5 to 8 weeks), can often be socialized. Whenever possible, Robyn’s Cats remove from colonies any young kittens or domesticated cats that are adoptable and spay or neuter, vaccinate, and foster them until a good home is found. We also place barn cats (generally feral) for free to responsible homes with a safe outbuilding.

Casa Del Toro also works on improving the lives of pit bulls by providing dog houses and supplies to outside dogs and encouraging owners to bring their dogs inside to live as family pets, educating the public on humane laws, ending indiscriminate breeding and overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, and actively working to strengthen dog fighting laws while educating the community on the realities of dog fighting.

0 pyrIndy Great Pyrenees Rescue is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization based in Indianapolis. Our mission is to rescue and place homeless Great Pyrenees in new loving homes. We take dogs in as space allows from Indiana and Kentucky and accept owner surrenders whenever possible. All of our dogs live in foster homes. These generous families help raise and socialize each dog and treat any of its medical conditions. By having our Pyrs in foster homes, we are able to learn a lot about the dogs prior to adoption. This makes it easier to match potential adopters to the right Pyr for their family. To date, IGPR has successfully rescued and placed over three hundred big, beautiful Great Pyrenees in new homes.

We Care Pet Rescue and Transport
Helping Pets to Safety
0 petresctransWe are a registered nonprofit transport and rescue agency. Our dedication is to help homeless pets in any way that we can and to provide transport for these dogs and cats to get them out of unsafe animal shelters to the security of safe animal rescues, or to forever or foster homes. Although we are based in east central Illinois, we can make arrangements to go almost anywhere, including the east coast. We are a small group with a sanctuary of animals that we have rescued in the past that we were not adoptable or never got adopted and grew old with us. We are not a shelter, however, and we currently cannot accept any more animals, but we try help with animals’ needs in any way that we can. We may be able to assist with lower cost vet care, spay and neuter, referrals to other agencies to help people with rescue, or fostering and finding homes for homeless pets. We try to assist with anything pertaining to the welfare of any animal in need. Just ask and we will do the best that we know how.
